CSI Case File #47

Nana's House

Colours - Red, Beige, Medium Brown, Blue, White

This was a such a lovely layout to do and all the elements just came together including my signature buttons!

I solved the case by using all the colours from the Scheme. For the Evidence I almost used all the clues - Patchwork Pattern with my papers, Stripes on the letters, Floral patterns, Frames, Foliage on the red paper, Gold Metal Accents - a key and a flower, Fabric (I'm so lucky I work for an interior designer who threw away a samples folder) and the Flourishes on the white hearts border on the left and on the photo corners.

For the Testimony my journaling may be short and sweet but it is probably what my son is saying as he is opening the door - "Welcome to Nana's House. Please mind the step"

CSI Case File #46

Purple

Colours - Purple, Lilac, Olive Green, Yellow Green, Bright Yellow

I knew as soon as these colours came up I was really going to enjoy doing this page - another one for my sons scrapbook - Purple has always been his favourite colour even from nursery. I was not only inspired by the colours but also the Scene layout and worked with the cubes and blocks theme, but my signature buttons are still there (my son likes them too) So to solve the case I used all the colours from The Scheme, for Evidence I used a grid design, frames, textured metal frame and corners, translucent copies from the co-ordinates and something that shimmers is that gorgeous purple ribbon. To complete the case the Testimony is that little Translucent envelope pocket which holds the story (plus a button) The envelope was the first element I found and I had a wonderful time completing it.

CSI Case File #45

Another Case Solved

Colours - Medium Brown, Cream, Off White, Hearth, Grayish Green

Another photo of my son to go in his scrapbook. I have used all the colours from the Scheme to solve this case, plus as Evidence I used woodgrain, buttons, silver metal accents, and a vintage text element "Home". The Testimony was completed by adding a button to my journally spot. I used the same photo twice as I wanted the original in the scrapbook but I enhanced it on the computer and printed another copy so it's double trouble

I do keep using buttons so this might be a theme in this scrapbook.

Pop over the CSI and see what the next challenge is - PURPLE!

CSI Case File #44

My first entry on CSI - Color Stories Inspiration

This is wonderful site that I found that puts a challenge out there every week to Solve the Case following the Scheme, the Evidence and the Testimony.

This means I will get that scrapbook finished one day!

To Solve the Case I used all the Colours - Teal, Sunny Yellow, Bright White, Light Grey and Bold Orange

For the Evidence I used flowers from the Co-ordinates pages, also a frame and there are swirls on the paper.

For the Testimony I framed my (short) story and used Inspiration word - sunny
